"In the past, the Township benefited from fiscally conservative leadership through a Republican majority and tax rate stability. A slim, single vote Democrat majority in our municipal government has changed the course of our entire town. First, Democrats raised the municipal property tax rate 12.6% in 2020 and then they followed on with 5.9% in 2021. The compounded increase in rate is nearly 20%. Unfortunately, the progressive change in our community does not end with just multi-year, compounding, double-digit tax increase."
