Chatham Township’s very own, Firefighter Andrew Ruckriegel, recently risked his own safety to help someone being robbed at gunpoint. He is no stranger to heroics. Not only is he a firefighter with CTVFD, he is a police officer and EMT. He was off duty at the time of the incident. Andrew also served in the US Army National Guard for 7 years as a Cavalry Scout with the 1-102nd Cavalry Squadron. He was deployed to combat operations in Somalia and received several awards for his decorated service. We applaud and thank Andrew for his continued service to our community and country.
